Greater Efficiency
in the Log Scaling Process

Working alongside an automated AI-powered system, the mobile app lets drivers enter purchase order information, weigh their trucks, and receive instant feedback as cameras inspect loads for material flaws. Drivers and scalers can easily view key load details—like weight, timestamps, and payment status, right from the app.

User Testing

On-Site Product Evaluation

Performed field testing at a Georgia-Pacific mill to observe real users interacting with the prototype in a live environment. Several truck drivers were recorded as they used the app, allowing us to study their behavior, measure usability, and identify pain points. These insights helped us refine the experience to ensure it was intuitive, efficient, and aligned with users’ real-world needs.

Videography

Project Sizzle Reel

Produced a video from storyboard to final edit that showcased the evolution of the project. The storytelling approach highlighted the design process and brought to life the work behind the Georgia-Pacific Integrated Scaling mobile app in a visually compelling way.

Photography

Visuals to Support the Launch

Captured on-site photography at a Georgia-Pacific mill to support future creative and marketing assets. The visuals played a key role in shaping the launch narrative, giving the application a real-world, boots-on-the-ground context that stock imagery simply couldn’t deliver.

Building on Success

From the Mill to the Forest

The integrated scaling app was so well received by Georgia Pacific that the scope of the project was expanded to include a tract surveying application called Canopy.
